Lorenza Mola is Associate Professor of International Law at the University of Turin, Department of Law, where she teaches international and EU law and is a member of the board of the PhD in Law, the Individual and the Market. Lorenza holds a PhD in International Economic Law from “Bocconi” University (Milan) and a M.Sc. in European Studies (External Relations) from the Institut d’Etudes Européennes of the Université Libre de Bruxelles. From the a.y. 2018-2019, Lorenza is the Scientific Director of the UniTo-ITCILO-IUSE-UNIDROIT-UNCITRAL Master of Laws in International Trade Law, having been in the board of coordinators in the previous four editions of the programme. Lorenza was a faculty member of the Center for Transnational Legal Studies in the 2017 Fall Semester. She gained work experiences in the field of international economic law at the Italian Mission to the WTO and the European Commission DG Trade, as an external consultant of the ITCILO for the Italian Development Cooperation in Vietnam and as of counsel research assistant in the field of customs law. Lorenza authored a book on national security in international investment law (2010, in Italian), co-edited two books and extensively published in Italian and international journals and collected books. Her current research fields are in international investment law, international human rights law, and the law of EU external relations.
