Luís Barreto Xavier is the Founding Dean of Católica Global School of Law, Lisbon, a unit of Universidade Católica Portuguesa dedicated to innovative teaching and research on law in a global context. Luís has been an adviser at the Constitutional Court. Before that, he was a senior consultant at the Prime Minister Legal Office, dealing with the review of legislation and government litigation before the Constitutional Court and the European Court of Justice. His research interests are in the field of jurisdiction and choice of law as well as European private law. He taught private law (property, copyright) and private international law at the School of Law of University of Lisbon and he now teaches private international law at Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Luís is also Director of the Advanced LL.M. in International Business Law of Católica Global School of Law. His main hobbies are cooking, wine tasting and guitar playing.

Eva Desana
Associate Professor of Business Law
She is Associate Professor of Business Law in charge since October 1, 2005, confirmed on June 21, 2009, at University of Turin (Department of Law). In 2012 she passed the exam to become Full Professor of Business Law. She is accountant for the Tutorato of University of Turin, and President of the degree course in “Consulenza del lavoro e gestione delle risorse umane”. She teaches Business Law, European Company Law and Law and Economics.   Eva Desana is member of the Doctoral Board of the PhD program in Comparative Analysis of Institutions, Economics and Law based in Turin, at Collegio Carlo Alberto. She is also member of the Turin Bar since 1998, and funding partner of Musumeci, Altara, Desana e Associati law firm. She is qualified to defend cases before the superior Courts (Corte di Cassazione, Corte Costituzionale, Consiglio di Stato).   She has been non-executive Member of the Board of Directors of Diasorin Spa, an Italian listed company (april 2013-april 2016). She has been member of the examination lawyers committee in 2005 and 2008 at the Corte d’Appello di Turin. Eva Desana has been Professor of Business Law at Master per Giuristi d’Impresa (Scuola di Amministrazione Aziendale of University of Turin (1999-2000 and 2004-2005). She also has been Professor at Master in Diritto e processo societario at Just Legal Service, Milan (2004-2005 and 2005-2006) Before, she has been Assistant Professor of Business Law at University of Turin (October 2001-September 2005).   Eva Desana is member of Nedcommunity (non-executive and independent directors association), of Orizzonti del Diritto Commerciale (National Association of Business Law Professors), and of the Editoral Board of different Law Journals (such as Giurisprudenza Italiana and Giurisprudenza Commerciale).

Michael Nietsch
Chair
Michael Nietsch, chair of Anti-Corruption Research Group holds the Chair for Private Law, Company Law and Securities Regulation at EBS Law School in Wiesbaden, Germany. Previously he was Associate Professor at Johannes Gutenberg-University of Mainz at the Centre for German and International Laws of Financial Services. Michael also is director of the Centre for Corporate Compliance at EBS Law School. His publications deal with topics in German and European corporate law giving emphasis to requirements of legal compliance and liability of companies and their directors and officers. Michael is a frequent rapporteur to congresses and has taught nationally and internationally. He is a member to numerous associations of legal professionals and legal scholars.
