10th Summer School (18-29 July 2022)

The 10th Law Schools Global League Summer School 2022, is open for registration, and we take this opportunity to send you more information about it.

 

The 10th LSGL Summer School will take place between July 18t to 29th, 2022, and for the first time the Summer School will take place in two cities. The Summer School will hapen from July 18th to 22nd at FGV DIREITO SP in São Paulo, and from July 25th to 29th at FGV DIREITO RIO in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The tuition will cover the following expenses:

  • Course;

  • Airline ticket from São Paulo to Rio de Janeiro on July 24th;

  • Some Social activities.

The Summer Course will have the following costs for each student:

  • Tuition – € 1.000,00;
  •  
  • Airline ticket from home Town to São Paulo and return from Rio de Janeiro to home Town;
  •  
  • Health and travel insurance;
  •  
  • Accommodation (a special rate will be provided to the Students in the selected hotels) + food (dinner at week days and lunch and dinner in the weekends);

Requisites:

* LL.B, JD and LLM Students;

* Proof of English proficiency.

IE LEGALTECH VENTURE DAY MADRID

On May 24th, 2022, the fourth edition of the Global Legaltech Venture Day event will take place in Madrid, Spain. IE Law School, in partnership with LexisNexis, and the Law Schools Global League, will select a finalist from among the many startups making their pitches.
These finalists, together with the finalists from Lisbon and Bogota, will participate in South Summit . They will pitch to an exclusive panel of juries comprised of investors, VCs and mentors – all pioneers in the legal and business worlds.
If you are part of a Portuguese legaltech  startup dedicated ingenious and sustainable solutions for day-to-day legal practices, then this competition is for you.

Legaltech Venture Days

On May 2, 2022 the first stop of the Fourth Edition of the Legaltech Venture Days will happen in Lisbon. IE University Law School, in partnership with the Católica Global School of Law of Portugal, Lexis Nexis and the Law Schools Global League, will choose a startup finalist to pitch their project, together with the finalists from Madrid and Bogota, at the IE stage in the South Summit to an exclusive panel of juries comprised of investors, VC’s and mentors – all pioneers in the legal and business worlds. 9th Summer School (12-16 July 2021)

The Law Schools Global League Presidency is pleased to open nominations for the LSGL 9th Summer School.

Organised by the LSGL Presidency and the National University of Singapore Faculty of Law, this year’s Summer School will be held online from 12 – 16 July 2021 and features unique courses and exclusive sharing sessions by representatives from UNCTAD and UNIDROIT.

Each LSGL member institution may nominate up to 10 student participants. Students must have completed at least one year of law education to qualify. Additional selection criteria and the process of selection will be at the discretion of the home institution. Participation at the Summer School 2021 is free of charge.

Four mini-modules will be offered this year:

  1. Access to Medicines: The Role of Patent Law and Regulatory Rights in Dealing with Pandemics
  2. Law and Technology: What Is the Impact of Emerging Technologies on the Law?
  3. Legal Cosmopolitanism and Diversity
