Stockholm University Faculty of Law

The Department of Law at Stockholm University, also known as SULaw, is a large department (for a Swedish university) with around 3,000 students and 300 international students per year. SULaw has been a member of the LSGL network since 2016, and the membership is of high importance for the department as it’s the only network they are involved in with partners from outside of Europe.

The Academic Director of Internationalisation, Prof. Laura Carlson and the manager of the Office of International Affairs, Sandra Fagerlund, say;

-The membership is important for SULaw due to the rather small size (with 33 members), which creates a close contact and strong relationships between persons involved in the network. The collaboration possibilities are important, and through the high participation rate in the League’s conferences, and the strong focus on interpersonal relations, new initiatives, and new student mobility agreements have sprung from these relations. Also, our students have benefitted from the network since they have participated in the LSGL Summer School. We are very grateful to be able to participate in this global and truly wonderful network!

SULaw offers five different one-year LL.M. programmes in exciting specialized areas of law, for applicants from around the world The application round for 2023/2024 is open now until 16 January 2023. You can hear more about the application process on 16 December when they host a webinar for prospective LL.M. students. Go join them in Stockholm!
