LSGL AWARD CEREMONY

The first LSGL Award Ceremony took place in Mexico City on 20 July 2017 to celebrate the winners of Innovation in Legal Education Award (ILEA), Seed-Fund and LAWARDS. Representatives from winning projects received their awards at an outstanding event in Mexico with participation of Dean and professors from all over the world.

LSGL Presidents Bertil Emrah Oder and Javier de Cendra, and Jorge Cerdio , Dean of host institution ITAM, made speeches to congratulate the winners and to express their gratitude to the evaluation committees for their valuable contribution.

During the ceremony the following projects were awarded:

– ILEA Winner  – “LENT: Legal Education and Technology” Alexandre Pacheco da Silva, Marina Feferbaum(FGV SP)

– Seed-Fund Project:  “Transformative scales – multi-level legal method in global law”    Participating institutions: Jindal, King’s College, Los Andes, Tilburg

– LAWARDS Winner – “LAWBOT”, a proposal created by Ugochukwu Nnaemeka, Egbuna Linda and Adebukola Fatunde from Nigeria.

– LAWARDS Finalists Projects: “LAWMATE”, by Gautami Raiker from India and “Preventing human rights violations in the context of large-scale infrastructure projects: the need for an early alarm system”, by Flavia Silva Scabin and Isabella Jagg from Brazil.
